유럽에서의 침술(Acupuncture in Europe)

 

1. 유럽의 침술 담당자 수 (2010년)

 

CAMbrella의 2010년 조사에 따르면, 유럽(EU회원국 27개국과 준회원국 12개국(EEA/EFTA, FP7)의 합계 39개국)의 침술의 시술자는 96,360명(의사 8만명, 비의사 16,360명)으로 인구 10만명 당 21명이며, 침술이 보완대체의료 영역 중에서 종사자가 가장 많은 영역을 차지하고 있다.

몰타, 스위스 모두 나라의 법규 등에 의해 침술 관련 직업은 관리되고 침술사로 인증됨과 동시에 유럽연합(EU)의 규제직업(Regulated Profession)으로, 몰타는 acupuncturist, 스위스는 Akupunkteur(독일어)/Acupuncteur(프랑스어)의 이름으로 등록되어 있다고 기재되어 있는데, EU의 규제직업 데이터베이스에서 검색하면 몰타만 있었다.

 

(보충설명)
의료나 법률 등의 전문적인 직업에 대해서는 EU 가맹국 및 스위스, 노르웨이 등의 나라들 간에는 다른 가맹국에서 취득한 자격에 의해 자국에서 직업을 갖는 것을 인정하는 제도(Regulated Profession) 가 있다. 제도는 물론 각국에 따라 다르며 유럽위원회(EC)의 데이터베이스(Regulated professions database)*에서 각국의 제도를 검색할 수 있는데, 침술사(acupuncturist)를 인증하고 있는 나라는 몰타뿐이었다.

8. 229,230명을 대상으로 한 침의 안전성 평가(긍정적 관찰 연구)

독일에서는 229,230명의 외래환자에 대해 전향적인 관찰 연구로 침의 유해현상 정보를 모으고 그 출현빈도를 밝혀 침의 인폼드 콘센트에 이용하는 동의서를 작성하였다.

 

 

주: 의약품 유해현상에 이용되고 있는 유럽위원회의 가이드라인에 따라 동의서에 기재하는 침의 유해현상 빈도는 다음과 같이 구분되었다.
